I would like to participate in the 2008 Back 2 School Celebration by:

Adopting/sponsoring

Please note: If you select this option, you are committing to securing the necessary clothing for each of the tags you take; or contributing a gift card/funds to secure the necessary clothing for the children ($75 for a child under 10 years, or $100 for a child 10 and older).  We cannot accept returned unadopted tags.

b)

Provision
I would like to provide (#) packages of underwear and   (#) packages of socks for children attending the Back 2 School Celebration.

Financial Contribution

The process for "adoption" works as follows:

  • For large tag distributions, we can provide a table-top display and pencil tag forms with a child’s first name, age, clothing sizes, and special information.  We can also distribute tags via e-mail for posting or sending electronically if you wish.
  • We suggest allowing a maximum of two weeks from the time the tags are distributed to when they are due back to your location.
  • Tags will be available starting Wednesday, July 23, and all donations should be returned to your location prior to Tuesday, August 19.
  • Individuals or families can “adopt” the tag and purchase the items, or provide gift cards.
  • We ask adopters to sign out the tag and provide their contact information so that your coordinator or our volunteer can follow-up on items not returned.
  • Please have each child’s bag/container of items labeled clearly with the child’s tag number.  If there are multiple bags for one child, they should be labeled “1 of 2, 2 of 2”, etc. each including the child’s tag number.  This helps to ensure that all items purchased go to the correct child.
  • We will arrange pick-up dates and times with you prior to Wednesday, August 20, 2008.
  • Our volunteers will double check all items and prepare them for distribution to the students at the event on Saturday, August 23.
